Queensland Museum & Sciencentre has engaging exhibitions and resources that can support the teaching of Science Understanding, Science Inquiry Skills and Science as a Human Endeavour.

The Rescue Exhibition, coming to the Sciencentre from 25 July 2015 – 7 February 2016 will support your teaching of the science and technologies curriculum. This interactive exhibition delves into the world of search and rescue and explores the technology, science and skills needed in these situations.

With 15 interactive exhibits plus information kiosks, students will fly a helicopter simulator and use infrared cameras to look for the heat signals of missing people, escape a hot, smoke filled room, tackle a 360 climbing wall, explore how rescue technology has developed and more.

This teacher program provides an exclusive teacher preview of the Rescue Exhibition, providing teachers with a relaxed opportunity to explore the exhibition, discover our teacher resources and speak one-on-one with Museum learning staff about your specific needs.

Teachers attending this program will also receive:
• Entry into a draw to win a free class visit to the Sciencentre
• Light refreshments

Participation is free.  Bookings are essential as places are limited.
